All 31 monopile foundation turbines are installed at our offshorewind farm Deutsche Bucht. The remaining 2 turbines will be erected on Mono Bucket foundations. Last month, the first turbine began delivering power to the German grid. Commissioning of the 8.4 MW turbines is ongoing.

Dutch offshore contractor Heerema has been assigned to help build the first and largest commercial offshore wind farm in the United States. The prestigious 'Vineyard Wind LLC' project is the nation's first utility-scale offshore wind energy project. Situated 14 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, this project will generate clean, renewable, cost-competitive energy for over 400,000 homes and businesses, while reducing carbon emissions by over 1.6 million tons per year.

Bladt Industries A/S first-movers at the US Offshore Wind Market

Vineyard Wind LLC (Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Avangrid Renewables) and Bladt Industries have signed a contract for fabrication and delivery of the Vineyard Wind project’s offshore substation. The Vineyard Wind project will be first utility-scale offshore wind farm in the US. Bladt Industries is a global leader of substructures for offshore wind farms.

Spica Technology wins tender from Ørsted

Spica Technology is to deliver 32 remote maintenance platforms that are to be installed on the 32 V164 8.0 MW offshore wind turbines at the operating offshore wind farm Burbo Bank Extension in Liverpool Bay north of the North Wirral coast in England.

The Topside of the Offshore substation of the wind farm EnBW Albatros was installed the night from March 26 to 27, 2019. The Heavy Lift Jack-Up Vessel (HLJV) Pacific Ospray had loaded the Topside in Rotterdam.

On the evening of 19 December, 2018, EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH loaded the last three monopiles for the German offshore wind project Deutsche Bucht in the Rostock port.

East Anglia ONE awards ODE Client Representatives contract

International engineering and operations support services contractor ODE, an integral part of the DORIS Group, has been awarded a consultancy framework agreement by ScottishPower Renewables for the provision of client representatives during construction activities for the East Anglia ONE Offshore Windfarm. The agreement is the latest development in a ten-year relationship between ODE and ScottishPower Renewables, which plans to invest £2.5 billion in the East Anglia ONE project.

World's most powerful commercial wind turbine successfully installed

A hat-trick of offshore wind industry firsts has been achieved within a fortnight in North-east Scotland after the world’s most powerful single turbine was successfully installed on April 9th for Vattenfall’s European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC). The turbine is the first of 11 to be deployed at the facility in Aberdeen Bay. Two turbines will have a capacity of 8.8 MW, the other nine will have a capacity of 8.4 MW

Arkona offshore project still on course

The heart of the Arkona offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea has been completed on schedule. The electric offshore transformer station has now been successfully installed at a water depth of almost 30 meters. Moving the so-called "topside" from a barge onto the foundation with the crane ship Oleg Strasnov was the installation of the world's heaviest alternating current platform, which had previously been lifted in one block on the high seas.
