NSW to deliver submarine cables for Trianel Windpark Borkum

NSW has been awarded the contract for planning, producing and delivering of the inner array cable of the Trianel Windpark Borkum (Phase II) by his customer Siem Offshore Contractors.

LM Wind Power announced that they will open a new wind turbine blade factory dedicated to the offshore market in Cherbourg, France. The Cherbourg plant will have the capability to manufacture the world's longest blade at 88.4 meters.

Prysmian to provide submarine cable links for OWFs in France

Prysmian, specialist in the energy and telecom cable industry, has been awarded a contract worth more than € 300 million with Réseau de Transport d'Électricité (RTE) to develop submarine cable links to connect three planned offshore wind farms to the mainland power grid in France.

German wind farm Hohe See is on its way

Siemens will provide the complete offshore wind power plant solutions for the Hohe See offshore wind project 90 km north of the German island Borkum. The inter-array cabling contract with a value of approximately € 80 million has been awarded to VBMS.

VBMS awarded inter-array cabling contract for East Anglia ONE OWF

VBMS, a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis), has been awarded a cabling contract with a value of approximately EUR 100 million by ScottishPower Renewables, for the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm. The scope of work for VBMS consists of the supply, installation and burial, as well as termination and testing of 102 66kV inter-array cables. The project execution will commence in the first quarter of 2019 with completion scheduled for mid-2020.

Sandbank Offshore Wind Farm fully commissioned

The offshore wind power plant Sandbank, located 90 kilometres west of the island of Sylt, is now fully installed and commissioned. On 21 January the installation vessel MPI Adventure together with Siemens erected the last turbine. Four days after that the last turbine “SB41” has achieved ‘final commissioning’ already

Veja Mate wind park connected to BorWin beta platform

Prysmian Group, specialist in energy and telecom cable systems industry, announces that the interconnection between the Veja Mate offshore wind farm and the offshore grid connection system Borwin2 in the German North Sea has been plugged in.

Planning permission issued for Gode Wind 3

The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) issued the planning permission for the Gode Wind 3 project. On this basis, offshore wind power turbines in the multi megawatt class can be erected in the wind farm.
